Natsuko Teruya grew up in a rich multicultural environment that fostered her passion for photography at an early age. After studying visual arts with an emphasis in photography in her teenage years, Teruya relocated to Los Angeles and then New York before moving back to Singapore to pursue her formal studies in Fashion Media at Goldsmith University of London in Lasalle College of the Arts.
Through multiple genres of photography in fashion, portraiture and still life, Teruya explores themes of femininity, beauty and strength. Her work is notable for its unique point of view, offbeat narratives and symbolisms that is nuanced with emotional tension.
Teruya’s photographs have been featured in HARPER’S BAZAAR, L’Officiel Singapore, Vogue Japan, and GQ Japan, among many others. Some of her commercial clients include LVMH, Swarovski, and KOSÉ
